I am Donald Bruce Edward Wilson, previously of a variety of towns and cities in Canada, including (in some kind of order based on time) Calgary, AB; Creston, BC; Powell River, BC; Richmond, BC; (all of the preceeding before I was forteen years old) North Vancouver, BC; Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB (again); Burnaby, BC; North Vancouver, BC (again), Squamish, BC; Toronto, ON (half time for a couple of years);and finally North Vancouver, BC once again where I currently reside.
I am married to Katherine Dawn Wilson, born Katherine Dawn Stewart, variously of Victoria, New Westminster, Vancouver, and West Vancouver.
We are the very proud parents of five children between us - Jessica, Ashleah, Tyler, Donald and Alexander. All of our children live on their own, with the last child leaving home to teach English in Japan two summers ago, and is now traveling in New Zealand with his girlfriend, who he met in Japan..
So we became Empty Nesters, and it was about time as it felt like we've been raising our family for almost forever. Indeed I think we both found it difficult to remember when we didn't have direct responsibility for the care and feeding of kids. Neither of us was quite sure what the future held for us without kids to look after, but we're been having a lot of fun figuring it out.
In the past couple of years we've been to Alaska, Reno, Mexico, Cuba, Dominican Republic and Japan. Not bad for a couple who managed to miss holidays altogether for more years than we could count on both hands. Our eldest son has been married (again) and the kids in Coutenay have bought themselves a home after living in the condo for couple of years.
These web pages are designed to explore the Wonderful World of Daggerdon, in all my glory (haha) as life plays itself out through me and the experiences of my life.
